Tax File Number (TFN) Declaration Form
While the TFN declaration information is now supplied to the ATO through Single Touch Payroll Lodgements, as an Employer, you are still required to collect and retain this information for record keeping purposes.
Standard Superannuation Choice Form
This is a document that allows employees to nominate the superannuation fund which they want their employer to pay their Super Contributions to. This form is also used for employees that wish to change their nominated fund. Employers are required to retain this form for record keeping purposes.
Fair Work Employment Information Statements
Under the Fair Work Act 2009, all Australian employers are required to give every new employee a copy of the 'Fair Work Information Statement'. This applies to all Employee, regardless if they are full-time, part-time or casual.
Casual Employees must also be provided with the 'Casual Employment Information Statement'.
In addition, Fixed-term Employees must also be provided with a copy of the 'Fixed Term Contract Information Statement'.
These documents explain Employee's workplace rights and entitlements, including the National Employment Standards, awards, minimum pay and where employees can seek help. These forms can be provided in person, by email or via a link to the Fair Work Website. Not providing these documents can result in penalties being imposed for non-compliance.
